ABOUT

Solomon Keal is a solo piano artist and composer from Pennsylvania, and the founder of “Peace of Heaven Music.”  He composes peaceful solo piano music, reminiscent of the folk piano style of George Winston.  Keal’s music is inspiring, emotional, and reflective. It will ease you into the day as you sip your morning coffee, and it will soothe your soul as you relax at night. It explores the ups and downs of human life, and it can carry you into a more peaceful state of mind. Keal’s music is the perfect choice for studying, reading, sleep, massage, yoga, quiet dinners, spiritual practices, or whenever you want to experience some of the “peace of heaven.”

Keal has four albums of solo piano music: “Thoughts and Affections” (1998), “Heritage” (2000), his Christmas album “Advent” (2005), and “Peace of Heaven” (2006).   In addition to his solo piano albums, he also released an album of love songs, with his wife Tirah, entitled “Forever and Eternity” (2009).  His album entitled “Bonus Tracks” (2010) features music Keal composed and recorded for the score of a documentary about Glencairn Museum entitled “Embracing the Sacred,” as well as other compositions of varying styles.

Keal started taking piano lessons when he was in 1st grade in 1983.  He stopped taking lessons in 1989, but continued learning music by ear. He composed his first piano piece when he was 16, in 1993.  Keal primarily composes and plays peaceful solo piano music, but he has also co-written pieces for flute and piano with his sister; he has written songs for voice and piano; and he hopes to eventually release an album of blues and jazz piano. Keal has performed his relaxing solo piano music for weddings, dinners, receptions, conferences, charity events, private parties, open mic nights, coffeeshops, and concerts.

Keal grew up in a musical family. He was influenced early on by the music of Claude Debussy, Erik Satie, Scott Joplin, Vince Guaraldi, Hagood Hardy, David Lanz, John Odhner, James Horner, Chip Davis, and especially the folk piano style of George Winston, and many other Windham Hill artists.  His music has often been compared to the music of Jim Brickman, John Tesh, David Nevue, Danny Wright, Liz Story, and Kevin Kern.

Solomon Keal is married and has five children.  He is an assistant pastor for the Bryn Athyn Church.

Solomon Keal is proud to be a Whisperings Solo Piano Artist.
